What Coaching Is (and Isn’t).
A lot of people hear the word coach and assume it’s someone who tells you what to do.
It isn’t.
As an ICF Professional Certified Coach, my role isn’t to give advice or tell you how to run your business. It’s to help you think more clearly about the challenges you’re facing, ask the questions you may not have asked yourself, and help you move forward with confidence.
The International Coaching Federation describes coaching as a partnership. That’s exactly how I see it. We’re working together, not because I have all the answers, but because you do. Sometimes they’re just buried under the day-to-day busyness of running a business.
That’s where coaching makes a difference.
When you’re constantly putting out fires, responding to emails and juggling competing priorities, it’s hard to find the time to think. Coaching gives you that space.
It isn’t mentoring.
It isn’t consulting.
It isn’t counselling.
It’s a conversation that’s focused on where you are now, where you want to be, and what’s getting in the way.
Over the years I’ve seen people leave a coaching session with something far more valuable than another item on their to-do list. They leave with clarity.
And clarity leads to better decisions.
At Time Made, that’s what productivity is really about. Not cramming more into your day, but making time for the work that matters most.
Because being busy and being productive are two very different things.
